Chinese specimens examined. None.

Distribution. Oriental and Palaearctic regions.

Remarks. Specimens of Wohlfahrtia nuba were intercepted by the Shanghai Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau from inside an airplane cabin. The plane had departed from Luxemburg with cargo to Pudong airport, and loaded further cargo in Azerbaijan ( Deng et al. 2006). This is evidently an accidental introduction and the species is not to be considered as part of the Chinese fauna .
