Biscutella guillonii Jord. (1864: 302) View in CoL .
Ind. loc.: “J’ai reçu de M. Guillon, une forme remarquable , récoltée à Paizay (Deux-Sèvres), que je désigne sous le nom de B. guilloni ˮ. Neotype (designated here):— FRANCE. “ Société dauphinoise, 1888, N ° 5369. Biscutella guillonii Jord. Diagn. esp. nouv., p. 302 -
Biscutella laevigata L.(pro parte), Villemorin (Charente-Inf.): champs calcaires. Mai 1887, L. Giraudias, ex herbier A. Jordan ˮ
(typed) det. A. Jordan (LY004731!).
Note: no original material or note could be found for this taxon. The specimen selected as neotype is the only one identified by A. Jordan. However, any gathering in this region could be chosen, as central-western biscutelles are morphologically very homogeneous and geographically very isolated from the rest of the genus. Furthermore, they are the remnants of a single population, Villemorin standing not more than 10 km distant from Paisay-le-Chapt, and Biscutella is, or was, present in all the pieces of the pannonic steppes in this region. There are also several gatherings from Paisay identified by L. Giraudias (1870, P!) and E. Simon (1904, LY!), as well as one from the neighbouring municipality of Aulnay (Charente-Maritime) by L. Giraudias (1887, LY!).
