[ Holotype: ANSP; ♀ Southern California, US ]

Andrena parachalybea specializes on pollen from suncups in the genus Camissonia Link (Thorp 1969) . This species was previously reported by Ayala et al. (1996) in BC. We reviewed three females from the Coastal Sage Matorral, collected in March 1962 ( EMEC). Additionally, we examined a female collected by the MABC team in May 2021 in Chaparral habitat. See fig. 10.
