Andrena (Melandrena) sola Viereck, 1916 View in CoL

[ Holotype: ANSP; ♀ Southern California, US; 1880 ]

This species was previously reported in the Coastal Sage Matorral and the Chaparral ecoregions of BC ( Bouseman & LaBerge 1978). We confirmed three specimens reported by Bouseman & W. LaBerge (1978), collected in La Zapopita, Valle de La Trinidad (Chaparral) in March, 1961. Additionally, The BBPT collected two females in the Central Desert in March 2021, and one female in April 2021 in the Baja California Mountains. Voucher specimens are in the BBSL, MABC, and ECOAB collections. See fig. 14.
