[ Holotype: UCRC; ♀ La Quinta, Riverside Co., California, USA; March 2, 1934]

Perdita polytropica is widely distributed in the southwestern USA and the BCP where it has been sampled in El Mayor range in the Lower Colorado Desert , BC, and in the Gulf Coast in BCS ( Timberlake 1962). We reviewed seven specimens (6 ♂, 1 ♀) collected in the Lower Colorado Desert at El Mayor in April 1939 ( CASC). See fig. 55.
