[ Syntype: USNM; ♂ San José de Guaymas , Sonora, Mexico; April 10, 1898]

This species is widely distributed in the southwestern USA and northwestern Mexico and specializes on pollen from the family Fabaceae ( Fowler 2020) . We reviewed 94 specimens collected in the Lower Colorado Desert and the Coastal Sage Matorral in April 1939 (CASC). See fig. 53.
