Calliopsis syphar View in CoL is endemic to BCS. This species specializes on pollen from plants in the genus Euphorbia View in CoL L. ( Fowler 2020). It has been reported in the Central Desert, Vizcaíno Desert, La Giganta Ranges, and Gulf Coast ecoregions ( Shinn, 1967).
