Calliopsis (Hypomacrotera) subalpina Cockerell, 1894 View in CoL

[ Holotype: ANSP; ♂ Las Cruces , Doña Ana Co., New Mexico, 1893]

This species occurs in the southwestern USA and northern Mexico. The AMNH reports one female collected in the Lower Colorado Desert San Felipe , BC in March 1967 ( GBIF 2023). We corroborate 24 specimens (15 ♂, 9 ♀) from the Lower Colorado Desert 15 mi. S Palacio, Mexicali, BC ( CASC). See fig. 27.
