[ Holotype: CASC; ♂ Riverside , California, USA; March 1, 1934]

This species is distributed in the southwestern USA and BC, Mexico. Timberlake (1969) reported this species in the Coastal Sage Matorral in March 1941 and the Succulent Coastal Matorral in March 1960. See fig. 104.
