Centris tiburonensis is a rare species found in the Sonoran and Mojave Deserts, as well as the CFP. INHS holds preserved specimen records collected in the Baja California Mountains in Sierra Juarez in June 1980, and Chaparral in May 1982. Additionally , ASUHIC reported 11 specimens collected in the Lower Colorado Desert in June 1968. The BBPT collected two females and one male in the Lower Colorado Desert in La Ventana in May 2022. Voucher specimens are in MABC (1 ♀, 1 ♂), and ECOAB (1 ♀). See fig. 90.
