Centris (Paracentris) rhodopus Cockerell, 1897 View in CoL

[ Syntype: USNM; ♀ Mesilla Valley on the College Farm, New Mexico, USA; May 18, 1896]

This species is widely distributed across southwestern USA, and northern Mexico. In BC, it is a common species in the Lower Colorado and Central Deserts. It can also be found in the Baja California Mountains, Chaparral, and the Coastal Sage Matorral. In BCS, it is present in the Gulf Coast and Magdalena Plains regions. Preserved specimen records from the BCP are published by the ASUHIC, OSUC, BBSL, and ANMH ( GBIF 2023; SCAN 2023). The BBPT collected 49 specimens (31 ♂, 18 ♀) in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 (Supplementary material 1). Voucher specimens are in MABC (16 ♂, 9 ♀), and ECOAB (15 ♂, 9 ♀). See fig. 89.
