Centris varia is primarily a tropical species that is distributed from southern Brazil to Mexico. A male collected in the Sarcocaulescent Shrubland in September 2016 and vouchered at CARCIB collection represents a new record for the BCP. To our knowledge, it is only present in the southern tip of the BCS peninsula. See fig. 86.
