Anthophora (Micranthophora) hololeuca Cockerell, 1923 View in CoL

[ Holotype: CASC; ♀ Puerto Refugio, Isla Ángel de la Guardia, Baja California, Mexico; June 29, 1921]

This species is abundant in the Sonoran and Mojave Deserts ( Orr et al. 2018). This bee specializes on pollen from plants in the family Fabaceae ( Orr et al. 2018) . It has been documented in BC’s Lower Colorado and Central Deserts, as well as in the Gulf Coast region in BCS ( Orr et al. 2018). We examined 16 specimens (11 ♀, 5 ♂) from the Gulf Coast and Lower Colorado Desert ( CASC). Additionally, the BBPT collected 80 specimens (42 ♂, 38 ♀) in May 2021 and 2022 in the Lower Colorado Desert in Mexicali. Voucher specimens are in MABC, and ECOAB (Supplementary material 1).
