Anthophora maculifrons View in CoL is a pollen specialist on fall-blooming Asteraceae View in CoL shrubs, including Chrysothamnus Nutt. View in CoL and Ericameria Nutt. ( Orr et al. 2018) View in CoL . Although previously mentioned as occurring in BC ( Ayala et al. 1996), accessible records are lacking. Notably, Orr et al. (2018) excluded the BCP from its distribution range. In this study, we confirm its presence and establish it as a new species record for Mexico with specimens that the BBPT collected in the Baja California Mountains in La Rumorosa in late September of 2021 (6 ♂, 1 ♀) and 2022 (3 ♂, 2 ♀) (MABC).
