Bombus (Pyrobombus) vosnesenskii Radoszkowski, 1862 View in CoL

[ Type: ZISP; ♂ California; USA]

The range of Bombus vosnesenskii is restricted to the west coast of North America, primarily in the CFP ( Williams et al. 2014). Despite the abundance of this species along the west coast of North America, it is infrequently observed on the BCP. In BC, B. vosnesenskii occurs within the Coastal Sage Matorral, Chaparral, and the Baja California Mountains. Historical records can be found at BBSL, EMEC, UCRC ( GBIF 2023). ECOAB team collected 23 females in the Chaparral and Baja California Mountains in July 2013. Additionally, the BBPT collected this species in the Coastal Sage Matorral in November 2013, June 2020, and April 2021 (7 ♀). Voucher specimens are in MABC (4 ♀), and ECOAB (3 ♀). See fig. 84.
