Genus Habropoda Smith, 1854

There has been no formal revision of the North American species of Habropoda . It is possible that some of the current species may represent cryptic complexes composed of more than one species. Species identifications in this genus were made with reference to original descriptions, and series of specimens of H. depressa , H. pallida , and H. tristissima determined by R.W. Brooks vouchered at BBSL, EMEC, and CASC. Additionally, we reviewed the holotype of Habropoda excellens at CASC.
