Colletes salicicola is a common species in the desert regions of northern Mexico and the southwestern USA. This species has been previously reported in the Coastal Sage Matorral, Lower Colorado Desert , and Gulf Coast with preserved specimens in AMNH, BBSL, and CNIN ( GBIF 2023 View Materials ). The CARCIB team collected this species in the Central Desert in August and September 2017 (3 ♂), Vizcaíno Desert August 2017 (1 ♂), and Magdalena Plains between 2015 and 2018 (15 ♂, 3 ♀). Additionally, the BBPT collected two males in Central and Vizcaíno deserts in March 2021. Voucher specimens are in MABC, and ECOAB. See fig. 157 .
