[ Holotype: LACM; ♂ Yaqui Canyon area , elev. 1,738 mts, Coronado National Monument, Cochise Co., Arizona, USA; August 30, 1972]

This species is distributed from southern Mexico to the southern USA (Snelling & Zavortink 1984). The CARCIB team collected this species in Vizcaíno Desert in October 2017 (1 ♀), Magdalena Plains in August and September 2016 (1 ♀, 1 ♂), Gulf Coast in October 2017 (2 ♀, 2 ♂), and Sarcocaulescent Shrubland in September 2016 (2 ♂, 1 ♀).
