Megachile (Litomegachile) gentilis Cresson, 1872

Megachile gentilis occurs in northern Mexico and the western USA. Within the BCP, there are preserved specimen records from the Chaparral, Gulf Coast, and Magdalena Plains ( BBSL). The CARCIB team collected this species in the Gulf Coast (1 ♀, 1 ♂) in October 2015 and July 2016, and Magdalena Plains in June 2017 (1 ♂) . Additionally, the BBPT collected this species in Coastal Sage Matorral in June 2020 (2 ♀) , May 2022 (2 ♀) , and September 2022 (1 ♂); Lower Colorado Desert in June 2019 (5 ♀) ; and Gulf Coast in November 2020 (1 ♂) .
