Subgenus Stelis Panzer, 1806

Recent contributions to Stelis s. str. include the description of 10 species by Packer & Griswold (2013) and the revision of the Stelidium group by Sheffield (2023). However, there is no formal revision of all the North American species of this subgenus. The identification of recently collected specimens was made with reference to original descriptions and the BBSL reference collection.
