Stelis (Dolichostelis) perpulchra Crawford, 1916 View in CoL
[ Holotype: USNM; ♂ Yuma , Arizona, USA; June 5]
According to our records, this is possibly the most abundant Stelis species within the BCP. Stelis perpulchra has been previously recorded in the Lower Colorado Desert, Gulf Coast, La Giganta Ranges, Magdalena Plains , and the Sarcocaulescent Shrubland with preserved specimen records from ASUHIC, BBSL, and SEMC ( GBIF 2023 About SEMC ). Additionally, we reviewed specimens collected in the Gulf Coast in July 1985 (1 ♂; SDNHM), Magdalena Plains in September 1981 (1 ♂), and Tropical Dry Forest in March 1986 (1 ♂; BBSL). The CARCIB team collected this species in the Central Desert in November 2016 (1 ♂), and Vizcaíno Desert in May 2017, and January 2019 (2 ♂). Furthermore, the BBPT collected 19 specimens (10 ♀, 9 ♂) in the Lower Colorado Desert in April, May , and June 2021, and May 2022. Voucher specimens are in MABC, and ECOAB. See fig. 206 .
