Anthidium (Anthidium) maculosum Cresson, 1878

[ Lectotype: ANSP; ♀ Utah; USA]

This species occurs from the southwestern USA to southern Mexico. Within the BCP, it has been previously reported in the Coastal Sage Matorral , Chaparral , Baja California Mountains , Succulent Coastal Matorral , Lower Colorado Desert , Central Desert in BC ( SDNHM), and the Gulf Coast ( SEMC), and Sarcocaulescent Shrubland ( SDNHM) in BCS ( GBIF 2023 ). We reviewed specimens collected in the Coastal Sage Matorral in July 1963 (1 ♀), Chaparral in July 1968 (1 ♂), and Central Desert in September 1941 (2 ♂, 1 ♀; CASC). The BBPT collected three specimens in Chaparral in September 2019 (1 ♀), and Coastal Sage Matorral in June 2020 (2 ♀). Voucher specimens are in MABC (2 ♀), and ECOAB (1 ♀). See fig. 197.
