[ Holotype: USNM; ♂ Mesilla Park , New Mexico, USA; May 16, 1902]

Hesperapis larreae View in CoL specializes on pollen from Larrea tridentata (DC.) Coville ( Fowler 2020) View in CoL . This species was previously reported by Ayala et al. (1996) in BC. We reviewed one male collected in the Lower Colorado Desert in April 1939 (CASC). The BBPT collected this species in BCS in the Vizcaíno Desert (4 ♀, 3 ♂) and Magdalena Plains (1 ♀, 1 ♂) in March 2021. Voucher specimens are in BBSL, ECOAB, and MABC. See fig. 270.
