[ Lectotype: ANSP; ♀ Fort Crook , California, USA]

Osmia californica View in CoL occurs from southwestern Canada to BC, Mexico and specializes on a broad range of plant genera in the family Asteraceae ( Fowler 2020) View in CoL . Within BC, it has been recorded in the Baja California Mountains in Sierra San Pedro Mártir in May 1958 ( EMEC). Additionally , we reviewed two specimens collected in Sierra Juarez in May 1981 (1 ♀) and 1982 (1 ♂; SDNHM). See fig. 256 .
