Hoplitis jacintana specializes on pollen from Cryptantha Lehm. ex G. Don ( Boraginaceae ) ( Fowler 2020). This species primarily inhabits the CFP and the Sierra Nevada. Within BC, this species was previously recorded in the Baja California Mountains in June 1953 by UCRC. The MABC team collected one male in the Chaparral in April 2022. See fig. 252.
