[ Holotype: CASC; ♀ Sabino Canyon , Santa Catalina Mountains , Arizona, USA; August 13, 1924]

Ashmeadiella occipitalis inhabits the xeric regions of southwestern USA and northwestern Mexico. We reviewed specimens collected in BCS in the Central Desert in September 1941 (1 ♀), and Gulf Coast (15 ♀), and the Cape Mountains in October 1941 (6 ♀; CASC). The BBPT collected 11 females in the Gulf Coast in November 2020. Voucher specimens are in MABC, and ECOAB. See fig. 241 .
