Type:— Holotype in HHUF (4181). Isotypes in HH (40618) and TSH (R32244).

Description:—See Harada (1977c) and Hiratsuka et al. (1992).

Hosts and distribution in Japan:—0, I on Circaea cordata Royle (Hon), C. erubescens Fr. & Sav. (host by inoculations), C. mollis Sieb. & Zucc. (Hon); II, III on Carex shimidzensis Franch. (Hon) ( Harada 1977c, 1979, Hiratsuka et al. 1992).

Notes:—Life cycle of this species was proved by Harada (1977c). Taxonomic relationship between this species and Aecidium circaeae Ces. & Mont. ( Montagne 1856) need to be examined.
