Homotypic synonym:— Dicaeoma caricis-macrocephalae (Dietel) Syd.

Type:— Lectotype is designated here; II, III on Carex kobomugi Ohwi (= C. macrocephala var. kobomugi Miyabe & Kudo ), Japan, Kochi Prefecture, Muroto-shi, Hane-mura, 2 November 1908, K. Ogawa, S (F29272), [MBT10021413]. Paratype in S (F29413).

Description:—See Hiratsuka et al. (1992).

Hosts and distribution in Japan:—0, I on Artemisia fukudo Makino (Hon); II, III on Carex kobomugi Ohwi (= C. macrocephala var. kobomugi Miyabe & Kudo ) (Hok, Hon, Shi, Kyu), C. pumila Thunb. (Hok, Hon, Shi, Kyu, Ryu) ( Ito 1950, Hiratsuka 1960, Hiratsuka et al. 1992).

Notes:—Life cycle of this species was proved by Hiratsuka (1936) and Hiratsuka et al. (1984). This species has been reported from Korea and Russian Far East ( Ito 1950, Hiratsuka 1963, Hiratsuka et al. 1992, Azbukina 2005, Ono 2019).
