Type:—No specimen used for original description by Ito & Homma (1934) was found. Therefore, neotype is designated here; II, III on Carex conica Boott. , Japan, Fukuoka Prefecture, Mt. Hiko-san, 3 September 1933, E. Tobinaga, BPI (053753), [MBT10021410]. Description:—See Ito & Homma (1938) and Hiratsuka et al. (1992). Hosts and distribution in Japan:— II, III on Carex conica Boott var. conica (= C. okushiriensis Akiyama ) (Hok, Hon, Kyu) ( Ito 1950, Hiratsuka 1960, Hiratsuka et al. 1992). Notes:—No specimen of this species has been found in herbaria in Japan.
