Type:— Holotype was not designated in the original description by Sydow & Sydow (1913). Lectotype is selected from syntypes and designated here; II, III on Rhynchospora alba (L.) Vahl., Japan, Hokkaido, Tsuishikari, 29 September 1907, M. Miura No. 46. S-F27055, [MBT10021417]. Paratypes in BPI (844498) and S (F27056, 27057). Description:—See Hiratsuka et al. (1992). Hosts and distribution in Japan:— II, III on Rhynchospora alba (L.) Vahl (= R. alba var. kiusiana Makino ) (Hok, Hon), R. fauriei Franch. (Hon) ( Ito 1950, Hiratsuka 1960, Harada 1980, Hiratsuka et al. 1992). Notes:—This species has been reported from northern area of Japan.
