Puccinia moiwensis Miura

Type:— Lectotype is selected from specimens in SAPA and designated here; II, III on Carex japonica Thunb. , Japan, Hokkaido, Mt. Moiwa , 25 October 1907, M. Miura No. 53, SAPA24010, [MBT10021345]. Paratype in S (F29373) .

Description:—See Hiratsuka et al. (1992).

Hosts and distribution in Japan:— II, III on Carex alopecuroides var. chlorostachya C.B. Clarke (= C. doniana Spreng. , C. zollingeri Kunze ex Steud. ) (Hok), C. alterniflora Franch. var. alterniflora [= C. pisiformis subsp. alteniflora (Franch.) T. Koyama , C. sachalinensis var. alterniflora (Franch.) Ohwi ] (Hok, Hon), C. japonica Thunb. (Hok), C. lanceolata Boott (Hon) ( Sydow & Sydow 1913a, Ito 1950, Hiratsuka 1960, Morimoto 1972, Hiratsuka et al. 1992).

Notes:—This species has been reported from China and Russian Far East ( Zhuang et al. 1998, Azbukina 2005).
