Current identity. Ormetica codasi ( Jörgensen, 1935) Type Material. Holotype and undisclosed number of paratypes.

Type locality and label information. Male paratype with the following labels: “22”; “#32716”; (old catalogue number); [ Paraguay, Departamento de Guairá, Villarrica] (information of localities from original description only); “ Automolis codasi Jorg [ersen]. Mus[eo]. Nac[ional]. Hist[oria]. Natural Buenos Aires”; “ TYPUS ”; “ PARATY- PUS”; “MACN-En 32211” (new catalogue number of Aurora).

MACN. The only male found is in good condition but presents a circular hole on the right hind wing.

Remarks. The whereabouts of the holotype could not be traced. Jörgensen (1935) mentioned that a paratype was donated to the MACN collection. The specimen found matches with the photography presented in the original description ( Jörgensen 1935: Plate III, fig. 22). He also commented that this species is close to Automolis ochreomarginata Joicey & Talbot, 1918 , currently a junior synonym of Ormetica bonora (Schaus, 1905) ( Vincent & Laguerre 2014) .

Type locality and label information. [ Argentina], Catamarca [province], La Playa, Cerros de Aconquija [mountains of Aconquija], 2,400 meters, February (information from original description only) .

MACN. The type material of E. anomala was not found in MACN.

Remarks. Jörgensen (1935) did not mention where the female syntypes were deposited. In the same article the catalogue number of the MACN is indicated in some descriptions, but not in this case. Jörgensen (1935) also mentioned that this species is very different from other Elysius Walker, 1855 .

MACN. The female holotype is in moderate condition; the apex of the right forewing is missing as in the black and white photo of the original description .

Remarks. Similar to Elysius magnifica Rothschild, 1909 ( Jörgensen 1935) but differs in color and coloration pattern.

Hypothaema (sic) caroei Jörgensen, 1935: 109

MACN. The type material of H. caroei was not found in MACN.

Remarks. Jörgensen (1935) described the female and remarked the difference to other species because it has three silver spots on the forewing: one spot closer to the posterior margin, other above the first, and one close to the discal cell. The author also commented that this specimen was donated to MACN. In the original description there is a black and white photo of the holotype with the legend Hypothaema caroli (sic) ( Jörgensen 1935).

MACN. The paratype is in bad condition because the left forewing and the left antenna are lost and the right hind wing has a small circular hole .

Remarks. Premolis eugenia Jörgensen is currently a synonym; Vincent & Laguerre (2013) synonymized it. Jörgensen (1935) mentioned that one paratype was donated to MACN. This author mentioned that this species is close to Premolis (sic) flavithorax Rothschild, 1909 .

MACN. The holotype female was not found in MACN.

Remarks. In the original description Orfila (1935) commented that this species is close to Cissura decora Walker, 1854 and Cissura plumbea Hampson, 1901 except the crimson coxa, the subcoastal band, which reaches the margin of the forewing, and the marginal band, which reaches the outer margin. Orfila (1935) did not provide a photograph or illustration of the habitus.

MACN. Holotype missing the last three abdominal segments because abdomen was dissected and prepared. Also, pro-, meso- and meta- legs were dissected.

Remarks. The genital and legs preparation made by Orfila (1952) were found in the Orfila collection. The male is unknown and the material of this species is very scarce at all Argentinian collections (Beccacece pers. com.). There are another two females paratypes deposited in the collection of Instituto Fundación Miguel Lillo, Tucumán, and one female paratype deposited in Natural History Museum, London. Lepidojulia arnaui is the type species of this monotypic genus ( Vincent & Laguerre 2014). The coloration pattern suggests that L. arnaui is possibly associated with the complex Pseudohemihyalea ambigua (Strecker, 1878) . Further studies and new samples at the type locality or vicinity are necessary to find males and to confirm the validity of the genus with morphology and molecular analyses.

Male paratype with the following labels: “[ Argentina, Buenos Aires], Villa Gesell; 11.2.[19]56”; “ PARATYPUS ”; “ ♂ ”; “MACN-En 32210” (new catalogue number of Aurora).

MACN. Holotype in a very good condition. The abdomen of the paratype has been dissected by Orfila (1959).

Remarks. A taxonomical rearrangement for this species to Leucanopsis Rego Barros, 1956 has been proposed by Beccacece et al. (2018). The dissection made by Orfila (1959) was not found in the MACN.

Type Material. Holotype deposited at Museo de Zoología de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba [ MZUC] in a very good condition. Seven males and three females paratypes (two paratypes in MACN).

Type locality and label information. Male holotype with the following labels: Argentina, Misiones, Parque Provincial Esmeralda, 505 m, 18–I–2012, S 26°53’39’’ W 53°52’44’’, H. Beccacece, A. Zapata, G. San Blas, E. Drewniak & N. Villafañe leg. [ MZUC]. Paratypes deposited at MACN: male paratype with the following labels: Argentina, Misiones, D [epartamento]. Candelaria, L. N. Alem, XI–[19]53, Gaitopulo leg. (dissected, prep. ARC 00009- MACN); male paratype with the following labels: Argentina, Misiones , Dep. Concepción – Sta. María, I–[1]953, M. J. Viana leg. (dissected, prep. number: ARC 00010- MACN) .

MACN. Both male paratypes were dissected and abdomen removed (Beccacece 2017) .

Remarks. This species can be recognized from other species of the genus because the outer margin of the hyaline spot is smooth and regular. The photos of the holotype, genitalia and also particular characteristics of this species are available in the original description (Beccacece 2017).
