Diagnosis. 1st tarsomere of foreleg dark brown, 2nd and 3rd tarsomeres white, 4th and 5th tarsomeres infuscate; epandrium bilobate, each roughly semicircular; parameres slender, transparent basally, black and tapered apically, black tip strongly curved inward; conical part of hypandrium round in dorsal view.

Description. Male. Body length 11.0 mm, wing length 7.0 mm. Head uniformly dark brown, except face and cheeks pale brown. Head with uniformly silvery pollen. Vertex with black hairs, eyes black without pubescence with a row of several long hairs on dorsal margin. Antenna 8 mm in length, slightly longer than wings, with 20 segments; antenna uniformly brown with white hairs. Proboscis white, without hairs. Palpus mostly brown except 1st and 2nd segments white, with black hairs.

Thoracic pronotum uniformly dark brown except lateral part pale brown. Mesoscutum and scutellum pale brown. Postnotum and laterotergite brown. Mesopleuron uniformly pale brown. Thorax only with scutellum having dense patches of hairs on anterior margin. Coxae and trochanters uniformly pale white except basal parts of fore and mid coxae infuscate. Femora yellow brown at base, dark brown apically. Tibiae mostly dark brown except basal part pale brown. 1st tarsomere dark brown, 2nd and 3rd tarsomeres white, 4th and 5th tarsomeres infuscate. Claws dark brown. Hairs on legs black, except 2nd and 3rd tarsomeres with white hairs. Wing ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 2 ) narrow, 4.5 times as long as wide, subhyaline. Veins brown. Wing with indistinct marking at distal part of R1. Apical area of wing bearing macrotrichia. Base of haltere pale white, club dark brown, with black hairs. Prehaltere pale white with white hairs.

Abdomen mostly dark brown, except posterior margins of 2nd to 7th segments pale brown. Hairs on abdomen black.

Male genitalia ( Figs. 3–4): Epandrium bilobate, each roughly semicircular, posteromedian triangular area of epandrium with short hairs; dorsal process of epandrium finger-like, tapered apically, with long hairs apically; lateral process of epandrium long, broad basally, curved inward medially, tapered and black apically, with several long bristles on dorsal surface. Gonocoxite as long as gonostylus. Gonostylus finger-like, curved inward, broad basally and round apically, with 7–8 long bristles on dorsal surface. Parameres slender, Female. Body length 12.5 mm, wing length 7.8 mm. Resembling male. Terminalia ( Figs. 5–6): Cerccus bladelike, concave medially, 1.5 times as long as 8th sternum, with black hairs.

Type material. HOLOTYPE: 3, CHINA, Yunnan, Lushuixian, Pianmazhen, 26°0'N 98°30'E, 1900 m, 2012. VII.25, Junchao Wang. PARATYPES: 13 1Ƥ, same data as holotype.

Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Etymology. The specific name refers to the type locality Gaoligong Mountain.

Remarks. This new species is somewhat similar to Bittacomorphella thaiensis Alexander , but can be easily separated from it by the body being much longer, the 4th and 5th tarsomeres of the foreleg being infuscate. In Bittacomorphella thaiensis Alexander , the 4th and 5th tarsomeres of the forelegs are black ( Alexander 1953).
