Euseius scutalis View in CoL ; Moraes de et al. 2004, p. 82; Chant and McMurtry, 2007, p. 123.
Diagnosis
Female. Dorsal shield smooth, with anterolateral striae, setae relatively long, s4 longer than Z4; peritreme extending to level of z2; cervix of spermatheca long and slender but gradually widens towards vesicle, atrium slightly bulged; fixed cheliceral digit with two to three small teeth and movable digit with one tooth; macrosetae Sge IV, Sti IV and St IV with small knobs or tapered distally, genua II–III and tibia III also with macrosetae ( Athias-Henriot 1958; Swirski et al. 1998).
Remarks
The type specimens of this species were collected from Ceratonia siliqua, Plain of Mitidja, Algeria in association with Tetranychus urticae . Kreiter et al. (2005) found this species on C. dactylon and on P. dactylifera in Tunisia. However, this species seems very common all around the Mediterranean Sea ( Kreiter et al. 2005). This species is not yet known from Israel.
