Diagnosis
Female. Dorsal shield reticulated with all setae short, smooth, except for Z4 and Z5, longer than others and serrate, setae S2 and S4 absent and R1 inserted on dorsal shield. Dorsal shield with seven pairs of solenostomes, gd1, gd2, gd4, gd5 gd6, gd8 and gd9. All ventral shields smooth. Sternal shield with two pairs of setae and two pairs of lyrifissures, ST3 on integument or small platelets, ST4 on small metasternal shields. Ventrianal shield with four pairs of preanal setae but without preanal pores. Opisthogaster with five pairs of platelets, slender platelets between genital and ventrianal shields, two pairs of setae (JV4 and ZV3 absent) and two pairs of metapodal shields. Peritreme extends almost anterior to setae j1. Calyx of spermatheca fundibular with atrium incorporated in calyx. Fixed cheliceral digit apparently with one tooth and movable digit without teeth. Leg IV with one long macroseta on basitarsus. Chaetotaxy of genu II: 2-2/1, 2/0-1 and genu III: 1-2/1, 2/0-1 ( Denmark 1982).
Remarks
This species was described from Shepherdia canadensis , near Hedley along Similkameen River, BC, Canada. Gispert et al. (2001) reported this species from P. dactylifera and C. dactylon in the Coachella Valley in southern California in association with O. pratensis . This species is not yet known from Israel.
