3. Acianthera breedlovei Soto Arenas, Solano & Salazar View in CoL in Hágsater & Soto (2003: 502). Holotype:— MEXICO. Chiapas: ca. 100 km SW of Palenque on Hwy 199, near Tunapaz , 31 August 1986, Catling & Brownell M18.3 ( AMO [6312]!).
Distribution:— Mexico (Chiapas [ Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 ]), Honduras, Nicaragua Costa Rica, and Panama.

Notes:— Acianthera breedlovei is member of a group of closely related species that include A. pubescens ( Lindley 1836b: 355) Pridgeon & Chase (2001: 245) and A. majakoluckae Soto Arenas & Solano in Hágsater & Soto (2003: 510), and other widespread Neotropical taxa. See notes on A. pubescens .
