Material examined. – Eight juveniles, incomplete, UOL, Alijauan Bridge, stream, S. Duero, coll. B. Sket, 5 Mar.1999.

Remarks.– The taxonomy of Halocaridinides trogonophthalma has recently been discussed by Naruse et al. (2003) and Cai & Shokita (2006b). The present record is based on eight incomplete juvenile specimens, all of which were collected from an interstitial habitat. These specimens, however, clearly show the characteristic of the species, i.e. the extremely short rostrum, the slender pereiopods, the fewer uropodal teeth as well as the short and stout telson. This represents a new record for the Philippines.
