Length: 8–13.5mm (28 specimens).
Collecting period: April, May, August, December.
Head: Red-brown to brown, anterior part of clypeus, labrum and palpi brown, posterior part of clypeus and sometimes frons black; distributed with fine and diffuse punctation; anterior part of cranium vested with pale, erect, pubescence, posteriorly also with dark setae; head including eyes only slightly broader than anterior width of pronotum.
Antennae: Dark brown to black, A1 to A3 slightly paler, vested with depressed, short pale and dark setae; antennomeres triangularly dilated from A5 onwards, A10 broader than long.
Pronotum: Red-brown to brown; surface finely and irregularly punctate; vested with anteriorly directed erect, short white and longer black setae; length:width ratio 1.02:1 (broadest in middle).
Scutellum: Brown, finely punctate, vested with pale setae.
Elytra: Black, with a brown macula around scutellum and two broad, pale pigmented transverse fasciae in middle and apical third; disc with regular, deep, rasp-like punctation, diameter of punctures larger than interstices, only rows 4 to 10 extending towards apical fascia, rows 3 to 9 terminating just behind the middle fascia, apex densely and finely punctate; setae at basal third along the suture and between the punctation short and pale, remainder with posteriorly directed, depressed, short and some erect, long, dark setae; length:width ratio 2.05:1.
Legs: Dark brown to black, with dense, pale, erect setae; tibiae mostly without longitudinal carinae.
Ventral surface: Abdomen dark brown to black, thorax brown, with dense, depressed, pale setae; penultimate ventrite of males deeply emarginated.
Aedeagus: Tip of phallus slightly asymmetrical, with tooth-like structures.
Distribution: Bhutan, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia.
