Examined type specimens

Holotype. 3, Vietnam, Prov. Vinh phu, Tamdao , 80 km north of Hanoi, 13 April 1986, without collector.

Paratypes. 13, same locality as holotype, 15−17 April 1986 (above in SMNS); 13 , same data to holotype (in NHMB) .

Additional examined specimens. Vietnam: 13, Bavi , 10 April 1986, without collector; 13, Vinh Phu Prov., Tam Dao, 24 April 1995, M. Satô leg. (all in NHMB) .

Remarks

This species was described and illustrated by Wittmer (1989) in the genus Kandyosilis , which was synonymized with Micropodabrus by Wittmer (1997a), but there has been no paper referring to this species since the original description.

It should be noted that Wittmer (1997a) described and illustrated this species under the same specific name in Mimopodabrus , and designated the holotype of K. bicoloripes as one of the paratypes of M. bicoloripes , while another specimen (3, Vietnam, Bavi, 10 April 1986, without collector) was named the holotype of M. bicoloripes . Moreover, there is little difference between the description and illustrations for K. bicoloripes by Wittmer (1989) and M. bicoloripes by Wittmer (1997a).

Above all, K. bicoloripes is valid and transferred to Mimopodabrus because of the presence of laterophyses, and its types should be those designated by Wittmer (1989), while M. bicoloripes Wittmer, 1997 becomes an objective synonym of the former, and its types are invalid.
