Material examined. Holotype ( USNM), China: Szechuan , between Kiating and Yachow, 1300–1500 ft, July 2–4 1930, D.C. Graham (No. 119).
Diagnosis and remarks. This species was redescribed based on a similar male from Thailand ( Stark 1987). The holotype is badly faded. The aedeagus ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 c) is broken at base and impossible to successfully evert. However, our examination confirms the original illustration of the aedeagus (fig. 19, Wu and Claassen 1934). The aedeagal sac is ca. half as long as tube and has a row of ca. 4–5 distinct spines on each lateral side (our illustration, fig. 8c, is taken from dorsal or ventral view, so the armatures are paired). The Thailand specimen clearly has a longer aedeagal sac and lacks the spinous lateral rows present in the aedeagal sac of the holotype. Therefore, this specimen apparently belongs to another species (fig. 3, Stark 1987).
