TYPE LOCALITY: Burma, Tenasserim, Mt. Mooleyit .
DISTRIBUTION: NE India, N and C Burma, Yunnan ( China), Laos, south through Vietnam, Thailand, peninsular Malaysia.
SYNONYMS: adamsoni Thomas, 1914; belfieldi (Bonhote, 1908); fuscus (Bonhote, 1907); laomache Thomas, 1921; opimus Thomas and Wroughton, 1916.
COMMENTS: Formerly included pyrrhomerus ; but see Moore and Tate (1965). Chromosomes described by Nadler and Hoffmann (1970).
