Leucophenga glabtabulata Huang & Chen View in CoL , sp. nov.

( Figs. 3G View FIGURE 3 , 7J–L View FIGURE 7 , 10K, 10L View FIGURE 10 , 15G, 15H View FIGURE 15 , 30 View FIGURE 30 )

Diagnosis. This species is somewhat similar to L. hyaloptera sp. nov. in the shape and pubescence of epandrium, cercus, and surstylus ( Figs. 30A View FIGURE 30 , 32A View FIGURE 32 ), and the shape of paramere ( Figs. 30C View FIGURE 30 , 32C View FIGURE 32 ), but can be distinguished from the latter in having the postocellar setae minute ( Fig. 7J View FIGURE 7 ); colour patterns of abdominal tergites in both male ( Fig. 10K View FIGURE 10 ) and female ( Fig. 10L View FIGURE 10 ); aedeagus laterally mostly covered by its long, bifurcated processes ( Fig. 30D View FIGURE 30 ); see below that species.

Description. Ocellar triangle dark brown, with ca. 1–3 seta(e) above ocellar setae. Frons brownish ( Fig. 7J View FIGURE 7 ). Orb 3 and Orb 2 parallel ( Fig. 7J View FIGURE 7 ). Pedicel brownish; first flagellomere yellow ( Fig. 7J View FIGURE 7 ). Clypeus entirely brownish yellow. Palpus brownish yellow ( Fig. 7J View FIGURE 7 ). Mesonotum mostly brownish yellow ( Fig. 7K View FIGURE 7 ). Postpronotal lobe dark yellow ( Fig. 7L View FIGURE 7 ). Acrostichal setulae in ca. 14–16 irregular rows ( Fig. 7K View FIGURE 7 ). Scutellum mostly brownish yellow, brownish laterally ( Fig. 7K View FIGURE 7 ). Pleura with a brown, longitudinal stripe above ( Fig. 7L View FIGURE 7 ). Katepisternum and mesopleuron mostly dark yellow ( Fig. 7L View FIGURE 7 ). Wing ( Fig. 3G View FIGURE 3 ): slightly clouded; costal vein between R 2+3 and R 4+5 distally with ca. 5 peg-like spinules on ventral surface; R 4+5 and M 1 nearly parallel distally; halter mostly yellowish, with a brown patch at knob ( Fig. 7K View FIGURE 7 ). Abdominal tergites dark brown, 2nd tergite yellow medially, 3rd tergite mostly yellowish except for small lateral region, setigerous only on lateral posterior margin in males ( Fig. 10K View FIGURE 10 ), 3rd tergite yellow anteriorly and laterally in females ( Fig. 10L View FIGURE 10 ), 4th tergite yellowish to yellow anteriorly. Male terminalia: Epandrium with ca. 11 setae near posterior and ventral margins per side ( Fig. 30A View FIGURE 30 ). Paramere narrow basally, with ca. 7 sensilla distally ( Fig. 30C View FIGURE 30 ).

Type specimens. Holotype ♂ ( SCAU, No. 128732), CHINA: Menglun, Mengla , Yunnan, 21°41'N, 101°25'E, alt. 780m, 17.iv.2007, ex tussock, HW Chen GoogleMaps . Paratype: CHINA: 1♀ ( SCAU, No. 128610), same data as holotype GoogleMaps .

Distribution. China (Yunnan).
