Angielczyk (2007): (1) median ridge on anterior surface of the snout; (2) transverse ridge across snout at level of prefrontals present; (3) parietals widely exposed on the skull roof; (4) anterior portion of the palatine does not contact the premaxilla; (5) symphyseal region of lower jaw with a wedge-shaped margin that does not extend much above the dorsal surface of the jaw rami and has a groove-like depression on its posterior surface; (6) procoracoid foramen formed by contributions of the procoracoid and scapula in lateral view.
Fröbisch (2007), Fröbisch & Reisz (2008): (1) anterior tip of snout squared off; (2) parietals widely exposed on the skull roof; (3) sutural contact between premaxilla and palatine absent; (4) pubic tubercle absent.
Maisch (2002a): (1) ectopterygoid absent; (2) snout region short and deep, strongly extended ventrally.
