Holotype. Male. Brazil, Rio de Janeiro ( MNRJ).

Geographical Distribution. Brazil, Rio de Janeiro.

Comment. Ny. bromelicola differs from Ny. sericea Burmeister, 1838 in coloration, with pronotum completely black and no yellow spot in marginal field; subgenital plate more pronounced medially; supra-anal plate triangular, with apex acuminate medially; left phallomere hook-shaped, tapering apically, and longer; and median sclerite rounded at base, with sickle-shaped apex.
