Diagnosis:— A. bracteatum can be identified by the densely lenticellated stems, pubescent leaves, and calyx with cupular trichomes arranged in lines. It differs from A. marginatum by the hialine leaflet margins (vs. coriaceous margins). It can be distiguished from A. paulistarum by the inserted filaments (vs. sub-exserted) and prophylls of the axillary buds straight (vs. prophylls curved).

Reproductive Period:— Flowering in August and September, no data regarding fruiting period.

Distribution and Habitat:— It occurs in Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, and Peru, especially in Ombrophilous and Semideciduous forests ( Lohmann 2010, Lohmann & Taylor 2014, Fonseca & Lohmann 2019). Within the study area, it was registered in Céu Azul, Capanema , and Foz do Iguaçu, mainly on conserved trails, such as the “Poço Preto,” and in Riparian Forests of the Iguaçu and Floriano Rivers.
