Antennae filiform, 20 segmented, length of joint 3.1 times width in middle part. Eyes globose, vertical diameter 1.5 times horizontal diameter and 1.4 times subocular furrow. Pronotum cylindrical, anterior margin angular in middle, median keel distinct, cut by hind transverse sulcus slghtly, lateral keels short, hind margin reaching first abdominal tergite. Minimum width of interspace almost equal to length in mesosternum, lateral lobes of metasternum separated. Tegmina shorter, extending over the hind margin of first abdominal tergite slightly, length of tegmina 2.1 times width, cover 2/3 tympanum. Upper keel of hind femur smooth, length of hind femur 3.7 times its maximum width, the lower margin of lower knee lobes not curved. Hind tibia with 9 spines on inner and 10 spines on outer sides, external apical spine present. Second joint of hind tarsus shorter than first joint. Tympanum distinct, big and rotundity. Krauss’ organ with narrow top, length 1.8 times width of mid-part, having 13 keels. Tergum of terminal abdomere with longitudinal groove in middle. Cercus conical, not reaching tip of epiproct, narrow at base slightly. Subgenital plate short-tapered, apex point. Lower margin of Epiphallus with large projection in the middle.
Female: Body robust, larger than male in size. Eyes small, longitudinal diameter almost equal subocular furrow. Median keel of pronotum cut by hind sulcus slightly, prozona almost 2.0 times metazona. Tegmina reaching hind margin of first abdominal tergite, length is 2.2 times its width, cover 2/5 tympanum. Length of Krauss’ organ 1.8 times width. Length of hind femur 4.0 times its maximum width. The lower knee lobes of hind femur not curved at lower margin. Valves of ovipositor slender and slightly curved, with pointed apex.
Colouration. Body yellowish-brown. Eyes brown. Antennae yellowish-brown. Hind femur yellowish-brown, with two small dark bands on upper side. Hind tibia and tarsus yellowish-brown, upper side blue. Abdomen yellowish-brown, with a dark stripe on both sides.
Measurement (in mm): Length of body: ♂ 29.0, ♀ 35.6. Length of pronotum ♂ 9.3, ♀ 11.5; Length of tegmina: ♂ 6.0, ♀ 5.6. Length of hind femur: ♂ 14.1, ♀ 15.3.
Diagnosis. The new species is similar to Sulcohumpacris hebeiensis Yin, Yin et Cao, 2017 . The major differences are listed in Table 1 View TABLE 1 .
Etymology. The specific epithet is named after Wuan the type locality.
