Diagnosis. Australian species of the tribe Macrotomini can be separated from all other Australian Prioninae by the following characters: eyes shallowly or not emarginate near antennal insertions ( Fig. 13M View Figure 13 ); mesocoxal cavities open to mesanepisternum and mesepimeron ( Fig. 4D View Figure 4 ); mesotrochantin obviously exposed ( Fig. 4D View Figure 4 ); metanepisternum broad; metepimeron narrow; pronotum with lateral carina dentate.
