Diploptera bicolor Hanitsch syn. nov.
Diploptera pulchra Anisyutkin syn. nov.
Diploptera maculata and D. bicolor are known for females only and males only, respectively. Molecular data in the present study prove that they represent the two sexes of one species. No priority between them because they were published in one paper. We considered that the epithet maculata better describes the diagnostic characters of this species, therefore D. maculata is regarded as the senior synonym of D. bicolor . Diploptera pulchra is a synonym of D. bicolor , and is a new synonym of D. maculata . Therefore, D. maculata is the only known sexually dimorphic species in Diploptera ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 ).
