Species Accounts

Subgenus Anthidium (Anthidium) Fabricius, 1804

Numerous generic names have been described for Anthidium View in CoL s. str. as enumerated in Michener (2007); most were based on aberrant taxa of Anthidium View in CoL from outside the Palaearctic.

Diagnosis: Anthidium s. str. can be distinguished from subgenus Proanthidium by the posterior margin of the scutellum rounded, without a spine laterally, and not or only little overhanging metanotum and propodeum.
