Diagnosis: Urostylids with a specific ventral cirral field that consists of enlarged postoral cirri and delicate left ventral cirri, both of which are derived from the left part of the midventral streaks during morphogenesis; one marginal row on each side; nonmigratory row present.

Type genus: Bergeriella gen. nov.

Etymology: The new family name is derived from the type genus Bergeriella .
